Guar is an annual summer legume, native to tropical Africa and Asia and resembles a flat Kenyan bean. Shana Guar may be used immediately from frozen, making them a tidy and convenient way of enjoying the vegetable at its best. Our vegetables are frozen close to the time of harvest to ensure they retain a higher level of vitamins and nutrients. Absolutely no water is added during the IQF (Individual Quick Freezing) process, providing you with nature's best. INGREDIENTS Guar COOKING INSTRUCTIONS Heat oil in a pan and add mustard and carrom seeds, fry until they pop. Add asafoetida and stir in the garlic. Fry for half a minute before adding in the Shana Guar and 150ml of water. Cover and bring to the boil. Simmer on low heat until the Guar is tender. Add tomatoes and remaining ingredients. Cook for a further 5 minutes or until the sauce thickens. Karela is a slender, climbing vine with long stalked leaves producing separate yellow male and female flowers. Shana Karela may be used immediately from frozen, making them a tidy and convenient way of enjoying the vegeta- ble at its best. Our vegetables are frozen close to the time of harvest to ensure they retain a higher level of vitamins and nutrients. Absolutely no water is added during the IQF (Individual Quick Freezing) process, providing you with nature's best. INGREDIENTS Karela COOKING INSTRUCTIONS Heat oil in a Karahi or Wok and fry the onions until golden brown. Add the freshly chopped tomato and cook until soft, then add the Shana Karela and stir. Cook on medium heat for 5 minutes before adding the turmeric powder, chili powder, jaggery, and salt. Continue to cook and stir the Shana Karela until they turn crisp (approximately 10 minutes). Garnish with coriander leaves and serve. Absolutely no water is added during the IQF (Individual Quick Freezing) process providing you with nature's best. INGREDIENTS Sambhar Vegetable Mix COOKING INSTRUCTIONS Heat half the oil in a pan. Add the onion and pack of Shana Sambhar mix for 5 minutes and add the jaggery and Sambhar powder. Blend the boiled daal and add it to the vegetable mix with the water and leave on a simmer. Separately, heat the remaining oil and add in the mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, and red chilli flakes. After 2-3 minutes, add this to the vegetable mix and salt to taste.
