Tandoor baking can be traced back over 2000 years to when the Egyptians were building the pyramids. The teardrop shape develops when the bread stretches as it hands inside the walls of the tandoor, with a distinctive uneven charcoaled appearance and a unique aroma.

Unlike many alternatives available, Shana Naan is tandoor flame-baked using a traditional recipe with only the finest ingredients. Absolutely no preservatives, flavourings or eggs go into making Shana Naans.

INGREDIENTS

  • Wheat Flour
  • Water
  • Coriander (10%)
  • Green Chilli (6%)
  • Partially Hydrogenated Sunflower Oil
  • Salt
  • Sugar
  • Yeast
  • Raising Agent (Sodium Bicarbonate)

ALLERGY ADVICE:

  1. Factory handles milk

  1. Remove the Shana naan from its wrapping and cook straight from frozen
  2. Ensure the naan is hot throughout before serving
  3. Pan: Heat a non-stick pan until medium hot, place the frozen naan on the pan, and cook for 2 minutes, gently moving it around the pan. Turn over and repeat the process, applying gentle pressure to the naan
  4. Grill: Sprinkle the frozen naan with water and place under a pre-heated grill on medium heat. Cook both sides for approximately 2 - 3 minutes
  5. Shana Naan can also be toasted in a toaster bag
